Ray DischRaymond "Ray" Disch began his career after high school working in the family construction business until college called him back to the classroom. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations. He moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a staff assistant to the assistant secretary of labor, which led to a six-year stint as a human resources manager with Merck & Company in New Jersey.Corporate life wasn't a good fit for Ray, whose entrepreneurial inclinations were beginning to surface, so he and his wife, along with a third partner, Adam Rechnitz, founded, built, owned, and managed Triumph Brewing Company in Princeton, New Jersey. After the sale of Triumph in 1999, Ray and four partners started a second company called Power Works. When the deregulated energy market collapsed with the fall of Enron in 2001, Ray sold the company and moved into real estate, cutting his teeth on the commercial side of the business by working for boutique firm, Trillium, in Hopewell. Ray completed his three-year apprenticeship as an agent and property manager, and then got his broker's license. After careful study of both the residential and commercial real estate business in the greater Princeton area, he started his own agency. After several years at the helm of Disch Real Estate, Ray joined Henderson Sotheby's International Realty in 2009. Ray is married to his college love, Erica, and, along with their two sons, Cody and Sage, live in the Sourland Mountains of Hopewell. Ray is very involved in many local sports, as well as civic and educational activities. |
